We recorded this collection of vacuum cleaner sound effects in two different household environments, capturing how the same everyday appliance changes character depending on the space around it. By recording in different locations, we focused on the subtle variations in tone, resonance, and movement that often go unnoticed.

One set of recordings comes from our apartment in Bangkok, where the vacuum moves across a wooden floor and reflects the room’s harder surfaces. The second set was captured in New Zealand on carpeted flooring, producing a softer, more muted sound shaped by fabric and insulation. Together, these recordings highlight the acoustic contrast between rooms and floor types.

This library is ideal for film, television, and sound design projects that require realistic household ambiences. It also works well for anyone seeking steady mechanical hums or familiar domestic textures, offering a versatile and authentic set of everyday sound effects.
