Seoul Railway Bridge Pass-By Sounds
33 files • 24 bit/192 kHz • 2.2 GB • 45 minWhile spending time along the Han River, we focused on the Hangang Railway Bridge — the first railway bridge built in Seoul, with construction beginning in 1900. Standing there today, you feel both the weight of history and the intensity of a modern city constantly in motion.
Seoul is busy, layered, and alive, and the bridge reflects that. Multiple rail lines run across it, and we recorded everything from single train passes to overlapping crossings where two trains move across at the same time. The result is heavy metal resonance, rough railway clicks, and deep, rolling rumble that travels through the structure and into the surrounding space.
You’ll hear high-speed trains, commuter lines, and heavy steel-on-steel impacts as they cross the metal structure. Some recordings are short and punchy. Others include longer ambiences that place you directly beneath the bridge as the city moves around you.
It’s hard to imagine Seoul without the sound of trains, and this collection captures that unmistakable urban energy. We hope these recordings find their way into your films, sound design, and music projects.
