Wind Sounds in Sugar Cane Fields

32 files • 24 bit/192 kHz • 3.8 GB • 35 min

Wind Sounds in Sugar Cane Fields documents the natural movement of wind across rural Australia’s sugar cane farms—recorded by us along the country’s east coast during an especially gusty stretch ahead of harvest season. With over 3.8 GB of material, this library offers an immersive collection of seasonal textures.

We used a spaced AB setup with DPA 4060s, the Sony PCM-D100, a Schoeps rig, and even a contact mic placed directly on cane stalks to record the wind from both an external and internal perspective. You’ll hear the layered rustle of wind moving through tall cane, subtle shifts in pressure, distant road ambiance, and the occasional bird call in the background.

Whether you're working on a cinematic sequence, an ambient composition, or a documentary needing organic field recordings, this collection delivers earthy, atmospheric wind sounds with depth and authenticity.
