Underwater Fishing Port Ambiences
16 files • 24 bit/192 kHz • 3 GB • 40 minUnderwater Fishing Port Ambiences explores the submerged soundscape of the Wando fishing port off the coast of Korea. This library captures the dense, active underwater environment found beneath a working harbour, where biological life and human activity overlap continuously.
The recordings feature close and distant textures of crabs and barnacles interacting with dock structures, alongside persistent harbour noise from passing and idling vessels. Ship propellers spin nearby and across the port, creating shifting low-frequency movement, rhythmic pulses, and broadband underwater turbulence.
All sounds were recorded using an Ambient hydrophone, resulting in rich, layered recordings rather than isolated or “empty” tones. Each file contains a wide frequency range from deep rumbles to high-end detail, making the material well suited for shaping, layering, and transformation in sound design, film, games, and experimental music.
This library offers a realistic and immersive underwater perspective of a busy fishing port, providing organic textures, mechanical energy, and evolving ambience for a wide range of creative applications.
