Taiwan Flowing River Ambience
Taiwan Flowing River Ambience Sound Library was recorded in the tranquil Maokong area of Taipei’s Wenshan District. This elevated region is known for its Oolong tea plantations, lush scenery, and gondola rides with sweeping views of the city. While most people visit for the tea and panoramic views, we were drawn to the natural sounds shaped by the area's unique geological features, including the Maokong Potholes—smooth rock formations carved by years of flowing water.
To document this tranquil riverside soundscape, we used three different setups: the Sony PCM D100, the Tascam Portacapture X6, and the Schoeps DMS rig. The result is a clean, layered river ambience that reflects the calm, meditative energy of the environment.
This collection is perfect for sound designers, filmmakers, and anyone looking to add natural, flowing water textures to their projects. If you’re looking for more nature ambience be sure to check out our Nature Category!
