Whenever I'm on the hunt for unique sound effects, I often explore the shadowy confines of narrow alleyways. However, for this particular sound library, I ventured into the staircase of a very tall apartment building, a place brimming with an unmistakably eerie atmosphere.

I set out to record over 50 different doors, each offering a different and unique sound profile.

The reverberation from the various levels as the doors closed proved to be perfect for this sound library. These recordings can also serve as impulse responses for further sound design.

Beyond the sounds of doors opening and closing, I recorded the rattling of doors that remained shut and one door with particularly spine-chilling creaks.
