Island Wind at Night Sound Effects
10 files • 24 bit/192 kHz • 3.2 MB • 50 minWe recorded these night wind ambiences while living in different parts of La Réunion. This collection focuses on strong vegetation movement, nighttime village atmosphere, and isolated island textures after dark.
In Saint-Denis, we placed microphones on a balcony facing back streets and apartment buildings. Strong wind moves through palm trees and bushes, producing heavy leaf movement and irregular gusts that create an intense and uneasy tone.
In mountain villages, we captured lighter wind combined with cicadas, distant dog barking, and subtle residential presence. The wind shifts between steady movement and sudden pushes through trees and bushes, creating a natural but tense nighttime atmosphere.
One recording features soft rain under a wind-driven palm tree, with dripping water and a sharp, high bird call cutting through the mix. Other tracks lean more toward low wind and environmental detail, where insects and distant animals define the space.
This library delivers isolated island wind, moving vegetation, and authentic nighttime ambience with both strong gust-driven textures and quieter atmospheric beds.
