While living in Tbilisi, Georgia, it's almost impossible to overlook the enormous Ferris wheel perched atop the mountain. One day, we decided to record its sounds. Using the DPA 4060 and LOM Geofon inside the cabin, we recorded the powerful and eerie rumbles, as well as the room tone, while the wheel spun slowly.

From the outside, we attached the Geofon to the metal structure while it was still in motion to record the deep, dark structural sound effects. This Ferris wheel, a landmark attraction in Tbilisi, was erected in 2010 and stands 80 meters tall, offering a commanding view of the city.
