Croaking Frog Chorus Sound Library
We recorded this 5.2 GB collection in Northern Thailand, surrounded by humid night air and the overwhelming energy of thousands of frogs. From our balcony in Chiang Rai, the forest came alive the moment the sun disappeared. Layers of croaks, chirps, and calls filled the night and merged into a powerful and ever-shifting wall of sound. Occasionally a distant dog bark cut through the chorus and added an eerie, rural presence to the dense tropical atmosphere.
As the hours passed, the soundscape continued to evolve. The mix of wildlife and village life created recordings that feel both natural and unpredictable. Everything we recorded carries the character of its surroundings, from the thick and vibrant frog activity to the quieter moments when the environment briefly settled before rising again.
At dawn the entire mood changed. The frogs softened, cicadas faded away, and birds began singing across the landscape. Dogs called out from different corners of the village while the first hints of daily life stirred beneath the calm morning air. In some recordings an airplane drifted overhead and added a subtle reminder of the outside world. Together these moments capture the full transition from the intense nighttime chorus to the gentle awakening of a morning in Northern Thailand.
