On a trip to Chiangmai, Thailand, I took a drive to a remote rural area called Takkatan Cave to record the sounds of the lush rainforest. I sought out an open space to begin my recording, using a Zoom F4 recorder and a pair of DPA 4060 microphones with Rycote Windjammers.
With the microphones facing down the valley and up into the air, I was amazed by the incredible audio recorded by these tiny omnidirectional mics with minimal noise. Next, I ventured deeper into the rainforest and found a spot near the cave to continue my recordings.
This rainforest sound effects library offers a diverse array of sounds that are perfect for sound design, audio post-production, and more.
