Recording Subway Station & Train Ambience in Hong Kong
Our newest sound library brings us back to my favorite place on this planet. Hong Kong! I come from a small town in Germany, however, for the past 6 years, I have traveled the world with Libby. We have seen and visited many big cities, but nothing has come close to the experience we have made in this captivating and dynamic metropolis.
Over 80 percent of the population in Hong Kong uses public transportation and I recorded the ambience on many different MTR stations and in the subway trains right before Covid was officially announced. If you weren’t aware, Hong Kong was one of the first places in the world to be impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and we experienced the shift firsthand.
Hong Kong has one of the most efficient subway systems in the world. I added one of the busiest subway stations to this library as sounds of the Red Line, Green Line, Blue Line, and Yellow Line.
Sound Recording equipment
To record these sound effects, I used my stealth gear with two DPA 4060s which are omnidirectional microphones and the Zoom F6. The microphones are attached to the Lowe ProTactic BP 450 Wii which has two side pockets to attach the microphones.
In addition to these recordings on Bandcamp, you can find them in 192kHz 32bit in the All In One Bundle under the Hong Kong category together with over 350 unique sound recordings from Hong Kong.
DOWNLOAD THE LIBRARY
Our recordings are provided as wav files and can be used with Logic Pro, Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton, Pro Tools, Reaper, Audacity, Adobe or any other audio/video editing software!
The library tracks are recorded in 192 kHz / 24 bit which gives you all the flexibility you need.
Since we embedded these files with rich metadata like file description & keywords you are able to quickly find the sounds. We suggest using professional audio management tools like Soundly, Soundminer, Basehead or Sound Grinder.
