I can’t tell you how much fun I had recording these sound effects of opening soda cans! It all started with the realization that one of my favorite sound effects, which has been downloaded frequently, is the sound of opening cans and bottles. So, I decided to record another session of opening different types of beverages, which ended up being eight different soda cans!
In this library, you’ll hear the sound of cans being opened, pouring liquid into glasses, and placing the cans on the kitchen counter. But that’s not all! I even took the time to drink from each soda can to record the sound of swallowing, sipping, and the satisfying “ahh” sound at the end.
I chose so many variations because each beverage has its own level of carbonation, which creates different sounds. You’ll hear everything from a gentle hiss to a loud pop, making it the perfect library to have on hand for adding realistic sound effects to your project.
To capture these sounds, I used the Usi Pro and DPA 4060 omni-directional microphones, along with my trusty Zoom F8n recorder.
The result is a high-quality and affordable sound library that’s perfect for any project where you need the sound of opening a can of soda. And to make it even more fun, we created a video to illustrate what the beverages were that we recorded. Trust me, it was a lot of fun capturing these sounds, but it was too much soda to drink afterward!
So why not add some authentic soda can opening sound effects to your next production? With our royalty free sound effects library, you’ll have access to a variety of different sounds, from the sound of a can being cracked open to the sound of the liquid being poured into a glass.
