Royalty Free Sound Effects & Sound Libraries
As a traveler and sound recordist, I am always on the lookout for unique and captivating sounds to add to my library. During my trip to Singapore in 2019, I had the opportunity to visit the National University of Singapore (NUS) and its bustling cafeteria. This place was full of energy and life, making it an ideal location to record the sounds of a busy student life.
The NUS is the largest university in Singapore and home to thousands of students from around the world. When I arrived at the cafeteria, I was immediately struck by the vibrant atmosphere. The place was bustling with students grabbing a bite to eat, chatting with friends, and engaging in lively discussions.
With my trusty equipment, I set up my recording station at a nearby table and began capturing the sounds of the students. The recording included the sounds of students chatting in different languages, the clatter of plates and utensils, and the squeaking of chairs as students got up and sat down.
One of the most memorable moments of the recording was when a student approached us and started singing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. This impromptu performance added a personal touch to the recording and showcased the energetic culture of NUS.
Another interesting aspect of the recording was the sound of the trash cans and collection area located behind me. The reverberation of the room made for a perfect acoustic environment and added depth to the overall soundscape.
Overall, recording the sounds of NUS cafeteria was a unique and enjoyable experience. The sounds captured in this recording are a valuable addition to any Singapore Sound Library and offer a glimpse into the bustling student life of the NUS. Whether you’re working on a project or simply looking to add some energy to your sound library, these cafeteria sound effects are sure to bring life to your production.
