Embark on the night train voyage to Chiang Mai, an essential experience for travelers exploring Thailand. Equipped with advanced audio and video gear, we set out on this 750 km (465-mile) odyssey, capturing ambience while documenting and filming this unforgettable adventure.
The 13-hour journey to Chiang Mai marks the onset of exhilaration for a dedicated sound recordist. Armed with the Schoeps DMS kit, the Rode NT-SF1 in conjunction with the Sound Devices Mix Pre 6ii, and the Zoom F6, we ensured not only immersive VR and surround sound capabilities. Additionally, we harnessed the potential of the TASCAM X8 with the Lom Geofon and the Lom Electroslush, enabling us to record experimental sound effects that promise to captivate and intrigue.
