Recording Traffic Sound Effects & Ambience in Bali, Indonesia
When you fly to Bali and leave the airport, you can already imagine what to expect. Anyone living in Europe or the United States visiting Bali for the first time could get a culture shock. We have been to Bali six times and have lived all over Southeast Asia and it’s pretty normal to use.
Crazy traffic awaits you, inundated with cars, trucks, and motorcycles trying to find the best and fastest route to their final destination.
I recorded the traffic atmosphere in fifteen different locations, day and night, many of the recordings were from the Ubud area.
This sound library contains almost every vehicle you can imagine. Cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, scooters with broken and extremely loud exhausts. I was also able to record the sounds of several very old Vespas.
You will listen to the people walking and talking near the field recorder and microphone. A group of kids starting to sing, which is really nice to hear.
When traffic is bad, police officers stop the traffic and use the whistle. That’s what I recorded and added to this sound library as well.
One of the main differences that change the ambience is the road itself. Sometimes it’s just concrete, then asphalt or side streets paved with stones. All of these different factors will change the soundscape and give it a different atmosphere.
Now, if you are looking for traffic sound effects recorded in Indonesia, this library is for you.
However, if you need more ambience and sound effects , please check out the All In One Bundle which has hundreds of different recordings recorded all across Bali. Our AIOB is by far the most affordable sound bank you can find on the planet.
