5.1 SURROUND SOUND Library Rivers and WaterfallS

Our debut 5.1 Surround Sound Library Rivers & Waterfalls is finally here and we’re thrilled to unveil a new gem in our sound library collection!

DPA 5100 & Sound Devices Mix Pre 10ii

For these vivid nature sounds, we’ve bought the DPA 5100 Surround Microphone and the Sound Devices Mix Pre 10ii.

The DPA 5100 is wonderful for recording flawless the outdoors and when paired with the Sound Devices Mix Pre 10ii, it reaches its full potential. This fantastic field recorder is loaded with eight channels, enabling us to use six for the DPA 5100 to record the full breadth of surround sound while keeping two channels on standby. Its low-noise preamps promise sounds as pristine as if you were amidst the rainforest with us.

Unveiling the Waterfall Ambience

Let’s begin with the waterfall. Located within a crescent rock formation, this natural spectacle, with its impressive drop, sets a stunning stage for channels 5 and 6. As the sound impacts the rock and echoes back, it provides a unique aural reflection recorded from the microphone’s rear.

Following the waterfall, we present a myriad of river sounds. Our recordings are captured sequentially with some further from the waterfall than the last.

The gentle murmurs, the robust rush, and the peaceful purl of the river, accompanied by the calls of birds and cicadas, makes it great for listening and an exciting post-production mix.

Our early morning river sound recordings are set atop a rocky hill with the river tumbling down over rocks, enveloped by the daybreak chatter of the rainforest. The awakening birds, the day-starting cicadas, all set against the soothing flow of the river.

So, friends, we invite you on an expedition into nature’s most treasured soundscapes, all in 5.1 surround.

This isn’t just another sound library; it’s a full-fledged, immersive experience. We can’t wait for you to delve into and use this sound library for your next projects.
