Recording protest sound effects against Stuttgart 21 in Germany.
Before we jet set across the sea to the US we spent one night in Stuttgart, Germany. Our last night in Europe we roamed the streets of Stuttgart in search for some unique sounds. By our surprise, while walking along the “Königstrasse” and happened upon a crowd of protesters voices their disapproval of Stuttgart 21.
If you unfamiliar with this project, let me explain a little bit what it is. I remember 1999 sitting in the train watching tv and an ad came up on the screen with a brand new train station and railway system in Stuttgart. The new massive project planned to destroy the old train station above and go underground with the new station.
The official start of building was in 2010 and that was the beginning of the Stuttgart 21 project. An estimated finishing of the project is calculated for 2022 and is projected to cost around 10 Billion Euros.
The protest is every Monday and a crowd of middle-aged to retired Germans walk in a parade with musical instruments from the Königstrasse down to the Main Train Station.
In this video, you will us walking along the parade with amazing sound! Enjoy!

You can find these sound effects in my “Complete Library” in the Germany category!
