Recording sounds with the Zoom F6 in 32-bit float
While others on YouTube show you the Zoom F6 field recorder locked up in a studio we take you out on the field! As we put this recorder to the test, we’ll show you around Lisbon, Portugal!
In this video, we take you down to the Western Iberian Peninsula and record street traffic. We even recorded an ambulance pass by with siren sound effects.
For sound designers who love creating spooky horror sounds, you’ll love the natural squeaking sounds of the pier! The waves made the floating pier go up and down and this motion created an incredible sound effect.
Then made our way to the historic Rossio Railway Station to capture ticking sounds and the arrival and departing of trains.
After that we took a funicular uphill on the Ascensor Da Glória. Even with a packed cable car, we were able to record great ambience. Finally, we went on a hunt for electromagnetic fields with our Prezor antenna in the graffiti-filled streets of the Bairro Alto neighborhood!
We hope you enjoy watching our video and that you’re able to use the sound we recorded for your personal or commercial projects!
