Ever since I saw a video of over thousands of dogs living and hanging out in the mountains of Costa Rica, I’ve always wanted to visit this place. And recently, I got the chance to hike with around 200 dogs to the summit and back. It was an adventure of a lifetime!
Equipped with my trusty Zoom H6, I recorded the dogs during feeding time, which wasn’t an easy task. These dogs are super sweet and playful, and will surround you in a blink of an eye if you sit down. But during feeding time, things can get aggressive, so be aware. These dogs have been on the streets all their lives and will fight for food.
The recordings I made are perfect for sound design or anyone looking for growling, barking dog sound effects. The dogs’ barking and growling can sound quite scary, so use with caution.
